As one walks in through the gates of the reserve one can surely see the African theme carried through out the reserve. The accommodation at the reserve comes in the form of the tree themed bush lodges. All the lodges pride themselves with providing their guests with the truly authentic African experience. The one lodge caters for the more family styled bush experience while the other two lodges are more geared for the honeymoon type of outing.  The lodges are set within the most lush and subtropical greenery. The thatched roof lodges are rustic ad simplistic. Their interiors are sparsely decorated whilst still maintaining its world class standards of excellence. The rooms have all been furnished with an en-suite bathroom and or bathroom. The rooms have also been supplied with the most inviting fires for during the cold winter nights when one needs banish the icy cold away. The lodge boasts the ability of being able to make one feel as though they are on a tranquil and peaceful island as they do not have the modern trappings such as a satellite television and 24 hour room service.  It gives their guests the opportunity to be able to get in touch with the splendour around them.
For a truly unique dining experience, Schotia has what is arguably one of the largest open air lapas in South Africa. The lapa is contained within reed and Sneezewood walls. It is open to the great big gaping skies affording guests the pleasure of dining under the mesmerising African consternation while being serenaded by the calls of the wild. Inside the lapa there are several large 'Schotia' trees and a roaring enveloping log fire. Dinner is an eclectic mix of safari cuisine and traditional South African cooking that oozes the various cultures found in South Africa.
During your two nights stay at the reserve you will encounter sights that will forever be engraved in your memory. You will be able to attend night and day drives that will aide in providing insight into workings of such a complex ecosystem. On the first night you will relax over dinner and enjoy safari cuisine, knowing that after coffee around the fire the next day you will awake to the sound of birds and have a cup of tea or coffee before your ranger takes you on a morning drive.
After a hearty breakfast you change vehicles and it's off to Addo Elephant National Park for your Addo Tour. The morning is spent searching for, and viewing elephants in an area containing the world's most dense elephant population. You will then be treated to a wholesome lunch at a local farm stall restaurant before returning to the reserve. A second afternoon / evening safari will give you another chance to take more photos, see different animals or just relax and watch the animals' behaviour followed by another splendid dinner.
